Forget reality

Forget reality; try musical comedy
Oren Shafir's blog promoting his musical comedies(with music by Thune Lindberg), including Romeo and Juliet: the Sequel
  • There is one thing I'm good at

I've been called a genius in the past. Of course, it hasn't happened since my grandmother passed away, but still. Since then, I've noticed that people have begun to use the word, savant. This I think is quite an apt descriptor, except of course for the part about having one special skill. Although I am getting pretty good at delegating.
For example, I delegate taking out the trash to my kids. And lately, I've delegated the role of producer for our next theatre production to Gali Yudelevich. And I must say, Gali is doing a great job so far. That delegation was truly a stroke of genius.
  • Further proof of insanity
My lastest two projects confirm what many of you must have already suspected. The projects:

    1. A play called Life n' Shit, in which I collaborate not only with my trusted composer pal, Thune, but also with four other writers with diverse backgrounds, each responsible for an act about a fundamental part of life.

    2. A graphic novel that I can't say too much about because it's in early stages. But suffice it to say that it will be dark, funny and different.
  • Israel? Palestine? Whatevever...
We're the victims. No we are! No we are! See this scene where the Jewish and Muslim parents eat, drink, argue and sing in Romeo and Juliet, the Sequel by Shafir and Lindberg.

  • Meet hip Rabbi Joe & co

"Romeo and Juliet, the Sequel" premiered yesterday to an enthusiastic audience who clapped beat to the songs, met Rabbi Joe, Roger, Jaida, and the rest of the characters, and laughed at all the right places.
  • Copenhagen Post say Oren has Chutzpah!
